This report presents an independent field observation examining how street lighting infrastructure is deployed across different urban environments within Malmö.
The observations focus on how lighting systems adapt to varying street conditions while maintaining functional consistency across movement corridors, pedestrian areas, cycle infrastructure and residential districts. The report considers how lighting design supports legibility, perceived safety, energy efficiency and movement within the public realm.
