Completed EU Climate Action Academy programme under the European Climate Pact

Structural Issue Identified

Limited institutional capacity to translate climate ambition into sustained citizen engagement and behavioural alignment.

What problem this work relates to

Climate governance increasingly depends on effective citizen engagement, yet gaps remain between policy ambition and the social conditions required for implementation. Strengthening engagement capacity is essential for behavioural alignment, public trust, and long-term transition legitimacy.

Structural Adjustment & Implementation

Completed the EU Climate Action Academy training programme delivered through the European Climate Pact. The programme examined citizen engagement strategies, behavioural change mechanisms, and inclusive climate communication approaches within EU governance frameworks.

Consolidated learning into ongoing work on participation design, public trust, and policy translation in both Scottish and European contexts.

Observable Effect

Strengthened alignment with EU-level engagement frameworks and behavioural climate governance principles. Enhanced capacity to apply structured participation and communication methodologies across institutional and community settings.
